Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the HanCutE (한컷에) application (“App”).
1. Service Overview
The App is a mobile application that allows users to combine multiple photos into a single image using selected layouts.
Key Features
- Photo layout selection and merging
- Crop adjustment (pinch zoom, drag)
- Photo rotation and reordering
- Gap, round corner, and background color settings
- Image saving and sharing
- Inquiry (submission, reply viewing, follow-up conversations), notices, and FAQ
Service Characteristics
- All photo editing is performed on the user’s device. Photos are never uploaded to our servers.
- Only information voluntarily entered by the user through the inquiry feature is transmitted to the server.
2. Eligibility
The App is intended for users aged 14 or older (under Korean Personal Information Protection Act) or 13 or older (under US COPPA). Users under these ages require parental or guardian consent.
3. Content and Intellectual Property
User Content
- All rights to photos used in the App and images created through the App belong to the user.
- The Operator does not acquire any rights to user photos.
App Intellectual Property
- Intellectual property rights to the App itself, including design, logo, code, and layout structures, belong to the Operator.
- Users may use the App for personal purposes. Redistribution, reverse engineering, or commercial reproduction of the App itself is prohibited.
4. Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
- Attempt to decompile, reverse-engineer, or extract the source code of the App
- Create or distribute illegal content using the App
- Interfere with the normal operation of the App
- Send spam or false information through the inquiry feature
- Infringe upon third-party rights (copyright, portrait rights, etc.) using the App
5. Advertising
- The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob.
- Watching rewarded ads unlocks certain premium features for 24 hours.

6. Service Limitations and Changes
Free Tier Limitations
- Maximum export resolution for free users is 2048px (longest side).
- Certain features (gap, color, round corner adjustments, watermark removal) are available for 24 hours after watching a rewarded ad.
Service Changes
- The Operator may add, modify, or discontinue App features to improve the service.
- Significant changes will be communicated through in-app notices.
Maintenance
- The Operator may temporarily restrict access to the App for maintenance purposes. Users will be notified via in-app notice.
- When an urgent update is required, the App may require users to update to the latest version before continued use.
Service Restriction and Termination
- The Operator may restrict or terminate a user’s access to the App after prior notice if the user violates the prohibited activities (Section 4) or applicable laws. In urgent cases (legal obligations, serious service disruption, etc.), access may be restricted immediately without prior notice.
- Users may terminate their use of the service at any time by deleting the App.
7. Disclaimer
Service Provision
- The App is provided “as-is” without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or error-free operation.
- The Operator is not responsible for service disruptions caused by device compatibility, operating system updates, or network conditions.
User Content
- Users are solely responsible for the content and use of images created through the App.
- Photo data loss cannot be recovered by the Operator due to the on-device processing nature of the App.
Third-Party Services
- Advertising content within the App is provided by Google AdMob. Responsibility for such content lies with the advertisers and Google.
Force Majeure
- The Operator shall not be liable for service interruptions caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, government actions, or telecommunications network failures.
8. User Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator from any damages, costs, claims, or expenses arising from the user’s violation of these Terms or infringement of third-party rights (copyright, portrait rights, trademarks, etc.) through the use of the App.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator’s liability for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the App is limited. This limitation does not apply to damages caused by the Operator’s willful misconduct or gross negligence. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including but not limited to mandatory consumer protection legislation.
10. Changes to Terms
- The Operator may modify these Terms within the bounds of applicable law.
- Changes will be announced at least 7 days before the effective date via in-app notices or this page.
- Users who do not agree to the modified Terms may discontinue use and delete the App.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Any disputes arising from the use of the App shall be resolved in the competent court as determined by the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
- For users located in the European Union, nothing in these Terms shall deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
11-1. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
